Centro Histórico de Oaxaca | REAL ESTATE SILMEXICO

Uno de los tesoros culturales y arquitectónicos más admirados, no solo en México, sino en el mundo entero, el Centro Histórico de Oaxaca aparece con toda justicia en la lista de Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad de la UNESCO. Con un trazo perfecto y construcciones históricas de gran belleza, el centro de la llamada Verde Antequera (nombrada de esta manera por el abundante uso de cantera verde), nos brinda una excelente panorámica desde cualquier punto desde donde se la observe. Al tratarse de una ciudad de proyección horizontal, de edificaciones bajas para que los sismos no afecten en demasía a la ciudad, esta característica también permiten que los visitantes admiren el trazo similar a un tablero de ajedrez, concebida en 1529 por Alonso García Bravo, quien por cierto también fue el autor del antiguo trazo urbano de la ciudad de Veracruz y de México.

A donde se dirija la vista se puede admirar algo en la ciudad de Oaxaca: edificios de preciosa arquitectura, verdes montañas, un cielo limpio y profundo, aves en vuelo o maravillosas puestas de sol. Declarada como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad por parte de la UNESCO, la capital oaxaqueña fue proyectada sobre un vasto valle, definido en sus límites por el Cerro del Fortín, y los ríos Atoyac y Jalatlaco.

Justo en el centro de este enorme tablero de ajedrez, aparece un león a los pies de una escalera, en una antigua construcción de las calles de Armenta y López e Hidalgo. Allí se localizaba hace muchos años una ferretería denominada como El Gallo. No obstante, por cuestiones de planificación urbana, el centro quedó finalmente en donde actualmente se levanta el hermoso zócalo de la ciudad.
En el Centro Histórico de Oaxaca, aún deleitan la vista de lugareños y turistas, nobles casonas del siglo XVIII, las cuales, por los frecuentes sismos de la región, han tenido que ser renovadas en sus fachadas en repetidas ocasiones.

El resultado fue un positivo eclecticismo arquitectónico con elementos virreinales y neoclásicos. Pero además, en el Centro Histórico oaxaqueño pueden admirarse edificios de estilo virreinal o barroco, churrigueresco, clásico, neoclásico francés en el Porfiriato y detalles de art nouveau y art déco. Pleno de museos, plazas, restaurantes y una eficaz infraestructura turística, el centro de Oaxaca es un espacio privilegiado para conocer mucho de lo mejor de México.
